Former Brave CF bantamweight champion Stephen Loman of Team Lakay is set to take on another acid test as he faces the hard-hitting John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 14 on September 30 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Loman, 17-2 as a pro, became a contender when he defeated ex-world champ Bibiano Fernandes via unanimous decision in November last year. ONE Championship, however, opted to do a kickboxing title fight for the reigning champion Fabricio Andrade against Jonathan Haggerty.
Left without an opponent and inactive since last year, the 31-year-old Loman will now stake his contender status against the hard-hitting former UFC fighter and ex-ONE bantamweight world champion from Brazil.
Lineker, meanwhile, is coming off a third-round knockout over Kim Jae Woong earlier this month after losing his world title to Andrade last February. He is 36-10 as a mixed martial artist and has gone 5-1 with 1 no contest since signing with ONE Championship.
